Spellbooks: eBay by Freya
(An old story from Freya’s website, revived using the internet time machine and some image searching, enjoy.) I came a little late to the eBay phenomenon. I had never really seen the point, seemed to me just one person selling their worthless trash to another. But one day whilst off work I was bored and decided to go on and I soon found myself hooked. It’s hard to say why. Most of it really was trash but every so often you found odd little gems. At the start I just did searches for interesting stuff. But a week later I made my first purchase. It was an old Edwardian medical kit which was going for a real bargain. Now I know it seems an odd thing to buy. But there were reasons for doing so. In my younger days I was an aspiring actor. Went to college to learn the trade and really had high hopes for a career in it. But dreams are all too often left unrealised. Reality hit. It was hard finding work for an actor.
