Don't stare

Toby saw the man come down to the hotel pool and couldn't help but look. No, past that, he couldn't help but stare. The man was pudgy, with a scruffy graying beard and bright blue swim shorts, but that wasn't what made him remarkable. What made the man remarkable was that he was wearig a grey wizards cap, covered in stars and moons.

Other people glanced at the man and turned away, but Toby couldn't look away. Who the hell wore a wizard hat to a pool? The man caught Toby's eye and Toby looked away for a moment, but then went back to staring when the man turned his head. After catching Toby staring at him three more times, the man stood up and walked over to Toby.

The man asked Toby what he was staring at and Toby blushed and insisted he wasn't staring. The man frowned and said he'd give Toby and the rest of them something to really stare at. There was a flash of light and Toby felt his weight shift and he tumbled forward onto his hand and knees, where there was fortunately a towel.

The man had vanished, but Toby felt the eyes of everyone on him. A quick glance downwards would soon reveal why.

Nobody but Toby (or Tobi) would remember seeing the wizard after Tobi was escorted from the premises. Without any form of ID, Tobi would get used to people staring at her at her new job as a stripper at a shady club.
